Esther Montes
Head of Monitoring and Recoveries
Esther Ana Montes Vera holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Complutense University of Madrid, a PD in Refinancing and Restructuring from the IEB and an expert course in Insolvency Proceedings from INESEM.
She has spent her professional career at ICO, where she has held various positions and responsibilities in different posts in the Directorate General of Risks: Head of the Retail Monitoring and Recovery Area, Head of the Wholesale Monitoring and Recovery Area and Head of the Monitoring and Recovery Department.
As Director of Monitoring and Recoveries at ICO, she is responsible for the management, evaluation, and execution of recoveries of operations financed directly by ICO, as well as the management and monitoring of operations in the pre-litigation or contentious phase, in the request for enforcement of guarantees or insolvency proceedings. She is also responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and control of recoveries and non-payments of the State guarantee lines.
The following units report to the Monitoring and Recoveries Directorate: Wholesale Monitoring and Recovery Area and Retail Monitoring and Recovery Area.
